Marc Lalonde is a multidisciplinary artist known for his innovative approach to sound and experimental media.
He explores experimental sound by capturing raw sounds from urban and natural environments, blending field recordings with creative sound manipulation. His work challenges audio perception and the connection between sound and place.
This project aims to demonstrate the work of the artist, emphasizing his exploration of sound and human interaction. The design has to be a visual representation of his unique approach to music, offering insight into his creative vision.
The design seeks to engage viewers, allowing them to interpret the imagery while immersing themselves in the artist’s music. Inspired by the vibrant spirit of Freetown Christiania in Denmark, the colour palette reflects the diverse sounds and instruments the artist employs, while the bold typography embodies the unconventional nature of the sound. The screen-printing technique used on the vinyl cover further enhances the tactile and visual experience, adding depth and texture to the overall design.
